School Tour

This is our 'WillowMan' - he was made for us during a recent Art 'Theme week' by an artist who specialises in Willow sculptures. He looks particularly interesting during the spring, when he starts to sprout new growth - especially from the top of his head!
Other additions to the school include a mosaic map of the world, which was created by all of the children, during a recent Geography week.

Our school has a large, attractive playing area, which includes the visible field, that is used extensively during the summer months. We also have an adventure playground, large playground and some quiet areas for more reflective and calm activities.

These main areas are also used for a variety of sports throughout the year, coupled with our outdoor heated swimming pool, that is used for lessons during the summer.

This is the home for a number of school activities - PE, Dance, Gymnastics, Asssemblies, Drama, Music and much more! Dinners are served here at lunchtime. Caterhouse provide our lunches. They are very good as well as being healthy.

ICT features strongly throughout the whole school. There are interactive whiteboards in every classroom, allowing the teachers to make their lessons even more interesting and visual. A range of software provides extra support in numeracy, literacy and science.

The school also leases 23 laptops which are kept on special trolleys. This enables them to be charged overnight and moved easily around school. The laptops have internet access via a wireless LAN connection and are used by all the children during the week.

The conservatory style extension provides a library as well as extra space for small groups of children to work. It can be used as a meeting area for adults during the day and in the evenings or somewhere quiet for the Year 5 and 6 Peer Mediators to help resolve playground disputes at lunchtime.

Our automated library system for checking books in and out is used by all children throughout the school.
