Welcome back to the Autumn Term 2012

The Governors Personal Statements

Mrs Sally Joselyn

I am married with one daughter who attends Ascot Heath C of E Junior School and is settled and very happy at the school. I am just starting my role as a Foundation Governor. I am impressed with the pastoral care provided by the school and have a particular interest in helping to maintain and, if possible, strengthen this. I am looking forward to helping to support the whole school community so that the children can learn to grow educationally and personally in a happy, safe and healthy environment.

Ms Heidi Laszewski's

Hello, Iím Heidi and I have two children at Ascot Heath Junior School. I am very pleased to have been appointed a community Governor. I am on the sites and buildings committee and also have a role in supporting gifted and talented education.

I have a background in the legal profession; my latter years spent specialising in Personal Injury. I have retained an interest in legal issues, including health and safety and whilst I am taking a career break to raise my children, I am looking forward to using my past experience to make a positive contribution towards the school.

 Thank you

Mrs Johane Pitney

Hi Iím Jo.  I am the proud mum of twins Ellen and John who have been enjoying life at Ascot Heath CE Junior School since September 2009.  I am delighted to have been elected Parent Governor and look forward to working with the School staff and other Governors.  School is a hugely important part of all our lives and being lucky enough to have a good school in our local community is a real bonus.  I shall support Miss Theaker and her staff, the parents and pupils to help to make sure our school remains a bonus to the community

Mrs. E. Richardson

Teacher/Staff Governor

Mr Anthony Stevens

I have lived in the Ascot area for over 40 years and have always wanted to become a School Governor. It is only now that this opportunity has arrived following retirement 4 years ago. I am currently a Governor at the Bracknell & Wokingham College and have for over 10 years served as a Board member on the Curriculum and Quality Committee. Along with all Board members I have been closely involved with the College re-build. I have been Secretary to the Winkfield Parochial Church Council for 9 years; Bracknell Deanery Synod Secretary for 7 years and will shortly commence my 3rd 3-year term as a Diocesan Synod member I have 2 married daughters and 4 grandchildren, who keep my wife Marian and I very busy. Having played rugby and cricket regularly, I still follow my respective Clubs - a VP of both. We enjoy supporting my two elder grandsons play their sports at School and their Clubs. With my managerial/administrative and organisational background, my aim is to use this experience and to be as active as possible for the benefit of the School in the coming years

Mr Ray Swatridge

I became a Governor in 1998 after our two daughters had attended the School. The School had provided them with a sound education along with a strong moral ethos and pastoral care. I felt that I wanted to be part of that community to help ensure that that legacy would be passed onto other youngsters. I believe that the School still provides these essential life experiences and I am proud to be part of it.
